Serving the South West for over 20 years, Fabric Magic is an established business that first opened it’s doors on the outskirts of Trowbridge in 2002. The owner, Liz first started trading as the sole staff member with just 100 rolls of fabric, a few balls of wool and a small range of haberdashery. From humble beginnings we have gone from strength to strength, expanding twice into larger premises, running crafting and sewing workshops whilst vastly increasing the range of products. Now, just a short walk from the town centre we have large premises over two floors and are proud to have one of the widest selections of fabric by the metre and related products in Wiltshire.
Downstairs we have hundreds of dressmaking and quilting fabrics, an extensive selection of haberdashery and plenty of crafting ideas for children as well as adults.
On the first floor you will find the soft furnishings and knitting yarn departments.
We stock more than 120 different qualities of yarn for both knitting and crochet from 2ply up to super-chunky in a wide variety of fibres and a wealth of gorgeous colours.
There is an extensive range of home décor fabrics for curtaining and upholstery both on the roll and on sample hangers that can be borrowed to take home to try. You can order fabric by the metre from these samples or we can have them made up into bespoke made to measure curtains, cushions, pelmets and blinds if sewing isn’t for you!

We pride ourselves on offering expert personal advice from passionate and knowledgeable staff and are always pleased to help with any aspect of dressmaking, knitting and crochet or giving you knowledgeable advice and tips if you are thinking of having your curtains custom made. We are proud to be part of the local community, serving Bradford-on-Avon, Westbury, Warminster, Melksham, Chippenham, Devizes, Bath, Salisbury and the surrounding areas. People visit us from across a wide catchment and we want to be able to find our customers the perfect product!
