OUR SEWING EXPERTISE

We are a long-established independent sewing shop offering all the knowledge you could need whether you are just starting to sew or have been dressmaking or making soft furnishings for years. We know buying sewing supplies online can be unpredictable and not nearly so much fun – we all need that fabric fix now and again! You want to be able to see and touch textiles to be inspired.

We hope we can make the experience easier by offering a personal expert service both at the counter and over the phone.

If you live nearby – in Wiltshire or Somerset why visit us soon and see what we have on offer (there are some great coffee shops nearby!).

If you live further away, why not give us a ring and we can discuss your project and send samples in the post. If you know exactly what you want we can take payment and pop it in the post straight away. Often buying the fabric is just the start of it. …you might need a pattern, interfacing, lining, zip, thread, etc. we can easily include the right haberdashery for you so you can get started as soon as your parcel arrives. We hope we can solve some of those problems using our expert knowledge and the good old-fashioned phone!
